The Syracuse University community is rich in creative talent, and these talents should be highlighted.

The Opportunity

  • As the university’s only student-run literary and arts magazine, Perception provides a platform to publish art and writing of all forms and genres each semester. Through the SU community, Perception curates a diverse collection of work that represents the voices of its students.

How can creating a safe space for publishing creative work help build a strong community?

The Question

  • As an interdisciplinary publication, Perception invites students from all academic backgrounds to share their work, many of whom may not have opportunities to showcase their creative talents in the classroom. The magazine strives to be an accepting and inspiring space for all contributors.

A new issue is published each semester in both digital and print formats, showcasing the diverse talents of Syracuse University’s students.

The Result

  • By offering both digital and physical versions, Perception reaches a wider audience, including current students, faculty, and alumni alike. Printed copies are distributed every semester, allowing many to immerse themselves in unique student art and writing.
